Meet Dr. Alissa Edwards, DDS
Originally from Green Bay and now raising her family in the Fox Valley, Dr. Alissa Edwards brings 15 years of experience, compassion, and a whole-body wellness perspective to her practice at Fox Run Dental. She graduated from Marquette University in 2010, where she completed both her undergraduate studies and dental program, and remains deeply committed to ongoing learning and professional growth. A Qualified AADSM Dentist and member of the ADA and WDA, Dr. Edwards strives to stay at the forefront of dental care with a strong focus on airway and sleep-disordered breathing solutions.
Dr. Edwards founded Fox Run Dental with a clear vision: to create a practice that feels like home. Her approach combines technical skill with human connection—educating patients on how oral health impacts systemic health and offering modern, evidence-based care that’s always aligned with patients’ goals. Known for her warmth, knowledge, and dedication to whole-patient care, she builds trusted relationships that help patients feel safe, empowered, and understood.
At each visit, Dr. Edwards takes time to listen and collaborate, tailoring plans that reflect individual needs and values. Whether she's guiding a family through preventive care or helping patients understand the impacts of sleep apnea and TMJ disorders, she leads with empathy and clarity. Her favorite part of her work? The opportunity to grow continuously while making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Outside the office, Dr. Edwards enjoys traveling and, above all, being a mom. She brings that same spirit of care and attentiveness to her patients, treating everyone with the kindness and dedication she gives her own family. Giving back to the community we call home
At Fox Run Dental, we’re more than a local dental practice, we’re an active part of the Appleton and Fox Valley community. Our team regularly volunteers at local events like the Appleton Butterfly Festival and partners with dental hygiene and assisting programs to support students and future dental professionals. We're also a proud sponsor of our local hockey program. These efforts reflect our belief that oral health is deeply connected to overall wellness and a strong, supported community.
We’re also proud to invest in youth education and innovation by sponsoring the VEX Robotics Program at Xavier Middle School. Supporting hands-on STEM learning helps empower the next generation with confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills—values we care deeply about both inside and outside the practice.
To make dental visits a little sweeter, we’ve partnered with Frio Mexican Treats. Every child who comes in for a hygiene visit receives a “free ice cream scoop” card as a fun reward for taking care of their smile. It’s one of our favorite ways to support a local business while creating positive, memorable dental experiences for kids.
